Goal: $500 Raised: $125
At the end of May I will be running the Barossa Marathon in my hometown of South Australia. This will be my second marathon, and for this one I want to raise money to send over to the kids I met at KCC. I volunteered in Kenya for 4 weeks in May 2013, and during that time got to visit the KCC school and all the kids. I'll never forget their beautiful smiles and the time I shared with them. I want to give something back to these kids who gave me so much to remember and be thankful for.

Hi all, We have decided to train for and run the Amsterdam marathon on Sunday October 20th 2013. Alongside the blood, sweat and tears of the training schedule we would love to raise a lot of money for a wonderfully worthwhile cause. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the co-founders, Marcus whilst travelling through Kenya. He told us all about the inspiring work that he and his fellow workers are doing to improve the standards of living, healthcare and education for children and adults in the slums of Naivasha. Please read about the fantastic work they have done and continue to do and please please give what you can. Together we could make a big difference in a child's life. Thanks Dave and Marit xxx

In January this year I was fortunate enough to spend a month working with the KCC ECD, and it was the best experience I've ever had. Everything about this organisation and the people I worked with was completely inspiring. So I'm holding a charity evening, offering dinner, prizes and entertainment in the hope that I can find 150+ people to attend at a $30 entry fee, all proceeds to KCC. I couldn't think of a more worthy cause.
