Successful Medical Camp

IMG_0350

On Saturday 26th we ran a very successful Medical Camp at Rubiri Primary School, Naivasha, in the very location we plan to build our primary school in the near future. In total we registered 229 patients with 50 patients volunteering for HIV counselling and testing, 50 for cervical cancer screening and 213 through triage. Public forum talks were presented on; nutrition, hand washing, oral hygiene and reproductive health. As well as receiving donations of small soaps and sanitary pads, every patient received a cup of porridge and every child a pack of tooth paste and toothbrush.

This camp was made possible through the co-ordination of KCC with support from Networks for Voluntary Services, Kijabe Mission Hospital, District Ministry of Health, NHIF, Kenya Red Cross, the Public Helath Office, Area Administration and Rubibi Primary School.

Special thanks to Vic Johnson and Anna Årøy for sponsoring the camp.
